The Will-Burt Company, the world’s premier manufacturer of telescoping mast and tower elevation solutions for surveillance sensor and communication antenna systems, is introducing its COBRA Mast with unique low profile at the 2012 Eurosatory International Exhibition, June 11-15 in Paris (Booth # 6-A-495).

The COBRA Mast has a higher extended height to retracted height capability than other masts on the market giving it unique performance for certain military and border patrol applications. The COBRA Mast is available in various height and payload weight lifting configurations, from the most compact model, which can elevate 50 lbs (23 kg) up to 12 ft (3.7 m) to the largest with a payload capability of 1,600 lbs (726 kg) extending to 30 ft (9.1 m). The product uses an electric direct drive system and can be either mobile, trailer or field mounted.

The addition of this unique product to the Will-Burt product portfolio coupled with its first quarter 2012 acquisition of Geroh GmbH of Waischenfeld, Germany, Europe’s leading manufacturer of telescoping masts for the military, solidifies the company’s position as the world’s one stop shop, offering virtually every payload elevation solution from a single source.

“The COBRA mast delivers the unique ability to elevate surveillance sensor or communications antenna systems to required height and then retract to a low nested height for additional operational flexibility,” said Jeff Evans, Will-Burt’s President, CEO and Chairman. “The COBRA fits well into our broad offering of telescoping masts and tower systems and further enhances the solutions that Will-Burt can deliver to meet customer requirements.”

Will-Burt offers a broad range of high performance military masts, including its high pointing accuracy Stiletto family of masts, durable non-locking and locking pneumatic masts, field-mounted Quick Erecting Antenna Masts (QEAM) and single-man portable tripod mast.

Will-Burt is also introducing at Eurosatory its VelociRaptor mast, the new preeminent mast in the world, employing ground-breaking mast technology that delivers a unique combination of strength, stiffness, extension/retraction speed, payload lifting capacity, and mast size and weight. The VelociRaptor employs ground-breaking mast technology which enables elevated surveillance and targeting on-the-move and accurate elevated line-of-sight fire by remote weapons on-the-halt.

Also at Eurosatory Will-Burt is celebrating its First Quarter 2012 acquisition of Geroh GmbH of Waischenfeld, Germany. This acquisition broadens the mast product line that Will-Burt offers customers in its global markets and gives it manufacturing facilities and sales and service capabilities in Europe. GEROH engineers, designs and manufactures a broad line of high performance mechanical masts that will complement Will-Burt’s product line and capabilities and enable both companies to better fulfill our customers’ needs for elevation solutions.

The Will-Burt Company, located in Orrville, Ohio, is the world’s premier manufacturer of telescoping mast and tower elevation solutions – the world’s one stop shop offering virtually every payload elevation solution from one source – for military, fire, cellular, broadcast, entertainment and other applications. Will-Burt also designs and manufactures military and other shelters made of all-composite materials that deliver higher performance at lower life cycle cost than metal or partial composite shelters. Will-Burt is employee-owned and has a strong commitment to the continuous improvement process set forth by ISO 9001:2008 quality standards.
