Argentina - 1 September 2017: In Neuquen, alleged members of the Mapuche radical group, RAM, set fire to two cars in the warehouse of a services firm used by national oil company, YPF, and left pamphlets related to the Mapuche cause.

Brazil - 3 September 2017: Santa Catarina state reported four consecutive nights of violence between police and criminals, including shooting attacks at police posts and police houses, and an IED attack on a prison administration building; a total of 30 incidents were recorded in several cities.

Colombia - 3 September 2017: Media reported that government officials and the FARC had reached an agreement extending the deadline for the removal of their weapons caches by the UN Verification Mission, from 1 to 15 September.
